I found the right size based on the measurement table and the reviews (but it took a while because I was unsure about the width). The delivery came quickly and I immediately used the shoes on long walks and hikes through urban and wooded/hilly environments.

Comfortable to wear, keeps your feet nice and warm and dry, just the right shoe for the cool, damp season. It also looks very chic and doesn't look like a barefoot shoe at first glance. It certainly won't be the only one.

Top shoe. Sole slightly thicker than the “normal” version. Feels robust, is super comfortable and also a little warmer.

The shoe is comfortable, warm, waterproof and looks good. When putting it on, the tab at the back could be a little larger so that a finger can fit in to pull.

I ordered the Expeq Black Waterproof two years ago. In autumn, mostly in winter and in spring they are my loyal companions. Always well cared for, still look good. So I decided to only wear these for hiking and bought a new pair for everyday wear. The Expeq are great for hiking, I've already tried them in the high mountains. My old hiking shoes were also barefoot shoes from a different manufacturer, which I have now sorted out for emergency replacements. Clear purchase recommendation for the Expeq.

My feet are square shoes. I need size 48 and the shoe is never wide enough. I can only handle very few barefoot shoes because of their width. After consultation with ZAQQ an extra wide model was recommended to me. Even though I was skeptical, I ordered this.
And what do I have to say: The shoe fits perfectly, as a barefoot shoe should and is waterproof. I can splash around in all the puddles like a little child again. The shoe does have one small drawback. Since it is very high, it is difficult to get your foot in. There is a leather loop at the back so I can pull on it. Unfortunately, this loop is so small that only my little finger fits in, and it doesn't have the necessary strength. So I use a shoehorn, for the first time in my life. That's just as uncool as an umbrella.
But the shoe itself is great.

My favorite pair of shoes for almost any weather except midsummer.

Wear the same size as usual.

I mainly work outside in nature and spend a lot of time out in the forest with my dogs. This is the third time I have ordered the shoes because they are perfect for this. I have warm and dry feet and at the same time the feeling of bare feet. I previously tried hiking/trekking boots, but due to the extremely thick sole, my feet couldn't move sufficiently and I always had cold feet (and foot pain) in winter. I am very happy to have discovered these.

Otherwise, wear barefoot shoes from a different brand, use the boots for motorcycling. What irritated me was that the insole has a drop that is higher at the back than at the front. I removed these and now it feels better, even though the boot is much firmer and stiffer than my other barefoot shoes.

I bought the boots again after 2020 because I was thrilled with my first pair.
The boots are great for mountain hikes up to 2500 m, nice and light and robust enough. They are no longer suitable for muddy ground or snow fields because the edge of the sole is not stable enough. (That's why they are barefoot shoes). After a long hike, you notice that you had to carry less weight compared to a classic mountain boot and that your feet weren't tightly locked in all day.

Compared to the 2020 model, the heel area has been reinforced and equipped with a loop to help you put it on. The insole is also significantly better than back then. The old one was very thin and slipped when I walked, the current one fits perfectly.

Unfortunately, I have to mention the tab as a point of criticism and deterioration compared to 2020. This is shorter than back then and tangles when tied and can squeeze at the beginning (until it has softened). That's a shame because the shoe would otherwise be perfect. Nevertheless, the boot deserves 5 stars.

My first pair is now about 4 years old. So it was time to buy a new one. They're a little too high for me, but the shoes can't help that. With the old ones, no matter what the weather (even violent thunderstorms), they couldn't harm them. However, it was the low model that fits my feet better.
In winter the higher ones will be better suited for this.

The Expeq-Waterproof in black is a solid shoe and is of high quality. Visually, it takes some getting used to and is somewhat reminiscent of orthopedic shoes 🤭
Unfortunately the shoes didn't fit my feet either. The toe box is very flat. I also wanted a shoe for hiking and was worried that the sole wouldn't offer enough grip.
So the shoes went back and were exchanged for ones with a grippier sole.
The exchange worked quickly and easily.

As a ranger, I use mine ZAQQ Hiking shoes are very popular and intensive. I always use it except when there is snow. The shoes are light, provide enough ankle support and give me a good feel for the ground. I also think the black version looks good in the city.

I already have a pair of the same type in brown and have been wearing them a lot for 3 years. It's still very good, I hope this one holds up as well.

After 2 weeks of intensive wear, I am completely convinced of the shoe in terms of comfort and workmanship.
Point of criticism: the loop in the heel area is too tight and cannot be used as a dressing aid. Please make it a little larger in the future.
